Barrie Hinman

Barrie Hinman owns and has practiced acupuncture at Barrington Acupuncture Clinic in Barrington Illinois since January 2010.  She has a general practice treating many conditions including pain, infertility, sports injuries, gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory disorders and emotional, psychological and sleep disorders.

After more than 35 years in a multifaceted business career, Barrie received her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard Illinois in 2009;  she received her Doctorate in Acupuncture at Pacific College of Health and Science in April 2021.

Barrie’s practice of acupuncture is inspired by 30 years of practicing Tibetan Buddhism and her down to earth time with plants in the garden.  She considers the mind, emotions and spiritual wellbeing to be important aspects in promoting physical health; she also firmly believes in working in collaboration with her patients’ physicians and other health care providers to produce the best possible result for her patients.
